I can't explain the allure of Madeline Island on the 4rth but hopefully some of these visuals will give you an idea. There is so much energy in the air that it rivals Christmas morning. Old cars, family floats, live art, and the occasional political statement make it one of my very favorite days of the year here. I'm not the only one who thinks so. The island swells in population bringing forth ferry after ferry of people hoping to catch some of the excitement of La Pointe.
I still have not mastered the camera to be able to get good shots of the fireworks but they were phenomenal as usual. And this year several of the yogis taught donation only classes to offer support to our fireworks fund including teaching a yoga SUP class that I'm sure you will see more of on the island. Stay tuned.....or just come to enjoy what we have to offer here now (which is plentiful).
